Who We Are
The Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment (MCCTI) plays a pivotal role in transforming Lagos into Africa's model megacity.
By formulating policies that stimulate business growth, encouraging cooperative development, and attracting both local and international investments, the Ministry drives inclusive economic development and commercial excellence in Lagos State.

Our Mandate
- 1Initiation, formulation and evaluation of policies relating to Commerce and Industry
- 2Identification and projection of sectors in which the State is seeking investors
- 3Promotion of investment opportunities available in the State
- 4Initiation, formulation and implementation of policies and programmes designed to ensure ease of doing business
- 5Attraction of investors and driving investments into the State
- 6Building on the States position as the top investment destination in Africa
- 7Formulation of policies and programmes for the promotion and development of cottage and small scale industries in the State
- 8Liaison with the Federal Ministry of Industry (Trade and Investment) and other relevant government agencies on industrial development, trade promotion and facilitation in Lagos State
- 9Promotion and development of industrial Estates, Parks and Enterprise zones, including maintenance of infrastructure therein
- 10Liaison with relevant Industrial and Trade Groups and Associations
- 11Annual organisation of Eko Expo Trade Fair
- 12Formulation and facilitation of State Government commercial activities
- 13Inspection and monitoring of factories and industrial concerns in the State
- 14Research and development with respect to the production of industrial project profile and Business Directories in the State
- 15Research and Planning of State Industrial Master Plan
- 16Supervision of Cooperative Societies
- 17Supervision of Lekki Worldwide Investment Limited
- 18Supervision and monitoring of the development of Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ) and associated projects including the Airports, Seaports, Industrial Parks, and Enterprise Zones
- 19Supervision of Lagos State Consumer Protection Committee
- 20Supervision of Lagos State Cooperative College
- 21Any other duty as may be assigned by the Governor
